The second council session of Day 1 was started by Pakistan suggesting that countries can follow to reduce plastic pollution by recycling plastics. Australia, Saudi Arabia and China agreed to Pakistan's suggestion. However, China raised a concern that recycling plastics may not be safe as toxins released when recycling harm plants and animals, reduces prices of the plastic when recycled and also being unsafe for plastics to be used twice thus ending up in waste landfills.
